PATHWAYS FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN
Pathways for Exceptional Children is a state-wide organization that encourages children of all abilities to find their passions, gifts and talents. Key to its value system is the concept of Community Inclusion. "It is essential that children develop a sense of belonging and a strong foundation of value and self worth. Pathways is devoted to helping communities gain the knowledge and understanding to appropriately include and embrace children of all abilities and provide experiences and opportunities for children with varying needs to grow, learn, and discover their passions together."
A chapter of the organization has been established at Glen Rock High School through which high school student mentors/volunteers plan appropriate activities for local children, ensuring that all participants will enjoy a feeling of importance and inclusion.
